Courage - 4

Jan 25, 2026    Jamie Winship

In this episode, Jamie Winship explores what biblical courage really looks like and how it grows in people who learn to trust God’s voice more than their own fears. Through powerful stories and Scripture, Jamie shows how courage is not the absence of uncertainty, but the decision to seek God and obey Him anyway.

Jamie reflects on Daniel’s prayer, where he approaches God not with confidence in himself, but with humility and trust in God’s mercy (Daniel 9:18). He shares the story of a young man who encountered Jesus during prayer, responded to Jesus’ call to be born again (John 3), and then immediately began walking in obedience. That simple “yes” led to twelve people coming to Christ and starting a gospel-centered discipleship group together.

The episode also highlights a disciple-making movement emerging in a Muslim context, known as “The New Idea,” where believers are multiplying faith through relational obedience and shared devotion to Jesus. Without platforms, programs, or publicity, God is building His Kingdom through ordinary people who are willing to listen and act.

Jamie connects these stories to the life of David, showing two different ways of living: when David inquired of the Lord, he walked in victory and clarity; when he relied on his own thinking, he drifted into fear and loss (see 1 Samuel 23:2–4; 27:1). Courage flows from seeking God first, not from trusting ourselves.

This episode is an invitation, not just to be inspired, but to respond. God is still forming courageous followers who will listen, obey, and step into His work in their families, neighborhoods, and communities. If you are hungry to be part of what God is doing today, this is your invitation to join the movement.
