Living In Freedom 2026

Oct 9, 2026

You were made to be FREE.

But does life actually feel that way?

Wake up. Check the phone. Get moving. Keep up. Get ahead. Be productive. Be interesting. Be successful. Be a good parent. Build the career. Make the team. Make the grade. Don’t waste your potential. Don’t disappoint anyone.

And whatever you do, don’t fall behind.

It’s exhausting.

So we reach for relief. Another scroll. Another episode. Another drink. Another purchase. Another distraction. Something to quiet the noise, take the edge off, or make us feel okay for a minute.

None of it starts as a prison.

That’s what makes the traps so subtle.

The world around us is competing for one incredibly valuable commodity: our attention. And what holds our attention begins shaping what we love, what we fear, what we want, and who we believe we need to become.

We thought freedom meant having more choices. But sometimes more choices just give us more masters.

Jesus offers something different. He came “to proclaim freedom for the prisoners.”

Not another demand. Freedom.

Freedom from striving, hiding, proving, comparing, and performing. Freedom to be present, to love, to know who we are, and to become fully alive.

So this weekend, bring two questions:

What does Jesus want to free me from?

And what is Jesus freeing me for?
