Even if a better tomorrow isn't promised. We are a hoping people , we need hope to survive. We need a vision for the future, or our life loses meaning. If our vision for what we want does not go the way we imagined we become discouraged or depressed. In our current cultural moment hopelessness is an epidemic. Suicide, anxiety, depression are at an all time high, so are the ways we're dealing with them.
We're told in Hebrews 6:19, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."
Hope, when put in the proper place, is not foolish. It actually becomes something secure.
Hope put into anything that can be taken away from us is insecure.
The only thing that can't be taken from you is God's vision for your life.
